Ramon Fernandez was born in San Esteban de Pravia (Asturias) in 1950.
Live in Gijon since 1953.
He began painting in 1968. Attend classes in painting and drawing at the A. Fine Arts with Professor Mendibile Gijón, although primarily considered self-taught.
In 1973 he traveled to Paris where he lives and paints for some time. After traveling extensively through Europe and various Mediterranean countries, returns to Gijon, where he began to exhibit his work.
In 1977 he moved to Madrid and worked in the studio of painter Juan Gomila for several months.
Back in Gijón, performs multiple solo and group exhibitions, but after a while, decides to stop present and remain outside the world of painting - although it never stopped painting - professionally dedicated to the design and furniture.
At that time was also interested in printmaking as a result of a course held at the UP in Gijon in the hands of Fernando Redruello painter and engraver.
In 1996 he started to get interested in computer graphics, as well as new technologies at the service of art designing book covers and magazine publications such as the Agora of Gijon, as well as company logos.
In recent times (2004) was also interested in the violin world through the Conservatory of Nalón APA that organized courses in construction of old instruments which involved having as teachers at the prestigious luthiers, Carlos Paniagua and Jesus Reolid .
Now combines the design work and manufacturing custom furniture, painting, and construction of instruments old.
